In 2015 I was approached to be a co-host by Janine Jellars, who conceptualised the one-hour feminist podcast. We discussed everything that happened in pop culture, highlighting the slay of Black women as well as sharing information on self-care and -love.

    • Chaired 'My body's business', speaking on sex positivity without fear or shame, with Emma Sadleir (Selfies, Sexts and Smartphones: A Teenager's Online Survival Guide), Angela Makholwa (The Blessed Girl), Zinzi Clemmons (What We Lose) at Franschhoek Literary Festival.

    • Interviewed Siya Khumalo at his Johannesburg launch of You Have to be Gay to Know God.

    • Chaired ‘Feminism – a global conversation, diverse feminist authors discuss literary spaces and writing’ with Melanie Judge (Blackwashing Homophobia: Violence and the Politics of Sexuality, Gender and Race) and Alma-Nalisha Cele (The Cheeky Natives) at the South African Book Fair.

  • On the research and writing team for the South African Youth Manifesto 2019, a youth mandate to political parties, empowered by Youthlab, a policy think-tank.

  • Gave a TEDx talk for TEDxCapeTownWomen, entitled Reimagining BDSM.


  • Organised an international conference as an International Justice Programme Consultant at the Institute of Justice and Reconciliation. The conference, titled 'Accountability for Sexual and Gender-based Violence: Successes, Challenges, Narratives, and Ommissions' was attended by international lawyers, academics and activists. Report is here.

  • Co-wrote an article on narratives of sexual violence and accountability with Kelly-Jo Bluen. The article highlights the project findings that more diversified approaches and frameworks to sexual violence ought to be encouraged.

  • Profiled by The Shine Project SA in recognition of contributions to gender justice in South Africa.

  • Workshops:

    • Facilitated, 'Free Space: It's time for womxn to talk about sex' focusing on issues of consent. The workshop was hosted by Iranti, a queer human rights visual media organisation.

    • Consent workshops for students at the University of the Free State as part of the student-organised Anti Rape Culture March.

  • Appeared in The Sex Positive Interview Sessions speaking on consent.

  • Programme Consultant in International Justice at the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation.

    • Organised a side event at the 15th Session of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, 'The Bemba Ruling and Beyond: Accountability for Sexual Violence at the ICC'.

  • Published a paper entitled 'Deaf women’s lived experiences of their constitutional rights in South Africa' in Feminist Journal Agenda.

  • Presented at the Decolonising Feminism Conference hosted by the Wits Diversity Centre. My presentation focus on the experiences of Deaf womxn in South Africa, highlighting education, domestic violence and healthcare.
